Our Team

CREATIVE DIRECTOR decinda@sugarandspiceevents.com.au

Decinda began her event career at Aerial Angels Entertainment.  Decinda’s role was to create and produce shows and bespoke performance pieces for local, nation-wide and even international clients including high end shopping centres, theme parks, casinos and corporate clients.  After 9 years working in the scinitillating entertainment industry on the glittering Gold Coast, she had seen her fair share of theatrical corporate events and decided she wanted to make her mark on the industry she loved so much.

In 2010, she registered Sugar & Spice Events and with unrelenting passion, has been the driving force behind the company that has received national and international acclaim.  In a few short years, this award winning company has received coverage in notable magazines such as Modern Weddings, Cosmo Bride, Queensland Brides, Real Weddings and Woman’s Day.  Recently the company was named one of the Top 25 Wedding Stylists in the country, a huge honour.  Decinda also recently attended a master workshop with world-renown event designer, Preston Bailey in New York to further hone her skills.

Decinda has one foot firmly planted in the creative and imaginary world that she constantly draws inspiration from and draws great satisfaction from taking a blank space and turning it into a magical experience for her clients.  The accolades from clients are a true testament to the drive, dedication and love Decinda lavishes on each and every project.

Recent achievements include being 1 of 5 finalists for the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year Award in 2014, and also a finalist for the Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur of the year award in 2014.

In the future, Decinda looks forward to producing large-scale charity events to raise funds for organisations she holds dear.
