How much do you charge for weddings?

Every wedding is so different, so we don’t have set packages. A wedding should be an individual as you are, so we design each wedding to suit your particular tastes, colour scheme and based on what is the most important outcome for you as a couple.

Contributing factors to styling prices can be how floral heavy your design is, what your venue provides, how many guests are in attendance etc etc.

As a guide, a starting price for our styling work would be around $5,000.00 + GST and goes up from there depending on how elaborate you would like the room to look.

The best way to get an indication of what you styling might cost, is to send us some photos of the look you would like to achieve, and we can happily give you a ballpark to work with.

How many hours does it take to plan a wedding?

It takes roughly 100 – 120 hours to plan a wedding, depending how elaborate or simple your plans may be.

Do you charge commision on services booked for wedding planning clients?

It’s true that a lot of planners get kick backs from service providers, but we believe that if you are paying us to plan your wedding, part of our job is to get you the best service for the most competitive rate. This means that we pass on any discounts we receive from suppliers directly to you.

Can you do payment plans?

Yes! We offer two easy payments of 50% deposit upon confirmation, and the balance isn’t due until 4 weeks before the wedding date. There are instances that we can be flexible, so don’t hesitate to ask.

We accept credit cards (except AMEX) or direct bank transfers.

I have a wedding planner from my venue, do I still need your help?

It is more likely that the contact at the venue is a coordinator, rather than a wedding planner.

The role of the venue coordinator is really to ensure that everything flows smoothly from the venue’s perspective, such as food and beverage service. Hiring a Sugar & Spice wedding planner means you have someone acting in your best interests (not the venues), who looks at the wedding from a global perspective.

The coordinator at the venue will not liaise or manage your outside suppliers such as hair and make up artists, photographers, transport companies and the long list of service suppliers that will play a part in your wedding day.

That’s the role of a wedding planner – to ensure that your wedding day runs smoothly from start to finish.

Yes we certainly do! We can plan and style weddings throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast and throughout Queensland. We can travel to Sydney, Melbourne, or wherever we have clients looking for the Sugar & Spice wedding planning touch!
