Samara & Jono
For over a year, we have been helping to plan the wedding of Jono & Samara. From the beginning, the bride and groom had a vision of romantic perfection, inspired by movies such as Twilight and the Time Travellers Wife.
Held within the luscious rainforest surroundings of Polly’s Country Kitchen on the Gold Coast, the late afternoon ceremony was held in front of a Lychee Tree, dripping with hanging candles. Walnut Tiffany Chairs lined the white carpet along with glittering candles. We don’t have any images of the bride, but image the most dreamy, Grace Kelly esque, lace edged cathedral length veil you have ever seen, floating down the aisle to her beau…ahhhhhhhhh the romance of it all!!!
After a moving, tear-filled ceremony, guests enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and canapes, before moving into a grand marquee embellished with reams of silk and thousands of fairylights. The bride had her heart set on an outdoor reception, but alas the February weather would not play fair….so we decided to bring the outside, in.
The eye-catching centrepiece of the marquee was undoubtedly our hanging garden, a mass of suspended greenery, candles, fairylights and inverted roses. Tables were covered in white linen and overlayed with ivory and taupe lace.Golden Tree Centrepieces added height to the tables and jars filled with Babies Breath and candles filled in the spaces on long banquet tables. Place settings included glass charger plates and white linen napkins wrapped in hessian and lace bands.
Other special touches included our antique wardrobe that was used as a cake table and wishing well, and a burning Love Heart next to the water for photo opportunities.
