This is the first installment of the 5 day Indian wedding of Sabrina & Julian.
Sugar & Spice Events were lucky enough to work with Sabrina, a dream client, and bring her vision of a vibrant Bollywood inspired Sangeet to life.
What is a Sangeet?
A Sangeet is a dance party thrown the night before the wedding day, and all of the guests attend to dance and dine, and perform traditional Indian ceremonies. Guests dress in traditional Indian costume, and our bride and groom looked amazing! Sabrina had henna applied to her the day before, as did some of the guests.
We went crazy with colour for the event styling, with predominant colours featured being pink, orange and gold. Our gold sequinned tablecloths were a glamourous touch, and tall floral orbs dripping with crystal drops floated above the tables. A mix of white and gold Tiffany Chairs were decorated with traditional Indian hair ornaments, that were plaited tassels with mirrored details.
An abundance of flowers and candles were placed throughout the room, with the focal point being an impressive chandelier in the centre.
We created elegant tent structures over feature tables, and draped them with flowing chiffon in orange and fuchsia. Place settings featured gold charger plates with a variety of napkin folds, including a decorated bollywood jacket.
The room was spectacular, with many well-travelled guests saying it was undoubtedly the BEST Sangeet they had ever attended. Music to our ears!
It was a privilege to be involved in such a mesmerising event, and we are so grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to our loved up bride and groom for having us!
