Joy & Lancho
This amazing wedding celebrated the undeniable love of two gorgeous people, Joy and Lancho. The couple live in a remote area of Western Australia and have a love of the bush and Australian natives. These two aspects were weaved into every detail of the wedding day and created a warm and homely feel to the entire celebration.
Polly’s Country Kitchen was an idyllic location for the theme, with sweeping lawns, a surrounding rainforest and running river. The ceremony was held in a gorgeous spot with views of the river and surrounded by tall trees. Our twisted birchwedding arbour was decorated with floral arrangements and Americana chairs provided seating. One of the many special touches the bride oversaw was a leaf littered aisle and wattle flowers, an earthy alternative to rose petals or a carpet. Gum nuts, berries and cinnamon sticks were tied with hessian bows onto chairs lining the aisle. We were lucky enough to witness the vows of these these loved up two and they were beautiful! A meaningful and heartfelt ceremony that reduced us all to happy tears.
After the ceremony the couple were treated to giant games and a variety of lounges set up in the Lychee Orchard. The clever bride even made giant 3D nought and crosses from polystyrene! This area was popular throughout the night and was a relaxing place for guests to rest their feet and watch the festivities on the dance floor.
The reception dinner was set in our signature fairylight frame, adorned with white draping, hanging candles, crystal drops and thousands of fairylights. Long wooden banquet tables were left naked to add to the rustic surrounds and decorated with hessian table runners, moss and alternating centrepieces. Our golden trees had more crystal drops and lights entwined in the branches, and crystal candelabras shone softly as dusk approached. Place settings included linen napkins with hessian and lace bands and individual hessian bags filled with chocolates and sparklers which the bride provided.
Other pretty details included kissing bells and even bespoke match boxes….she thought of everything! As the sun went down, the surrounding forest came alive with rich hues of blue, green and purple, adding to an already magic atmosphere. We are so grateful we could share in Joy and Lancho’s wedding day and create this whimsical event. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
