To say this wedding was a dream to create is an understatement of epic proportions. We dreamt it for over a year in our heads and on paper before seeing it come to life in lavish detail within the Rainbow Room of Cloudland in Fortitude Valley.
Bethany and Romesh were attracted to a past styled shoot (see here) we created that boasted rich colours and an abundance of flowers and mingle these with a distinctly baroque style opulence. Heaven!
Our table design included alternating shimmering gold and deep garnet coloured tablecloths, with decorative charger plates and napkins embellished with huge fresh waratah flowers. Decorative amber glassware shone next to ornate golden mirrors, with an abundance of tealight candles in gold mercury holders. Centrepieces were laden with huge colourful blooms of amaranthus, roses, lillies, orchids, ranunculas and fresh grapes cascading in all directions.
The bridal table was backed with a bespoke backdrop using ruby-red curtains and inverted flowers mingled with hanging candles and golden ribbon. Luxurious chandeliers dripping with crystal were suspended over the dance floor underneath a canopy of fairylights.
A gravity-defying inverted cake was placed next to a family heirloom that also got the floral treatment: a vintage gramophone with huge blooms spilling from the horn.
Alongside the bride, our event coordination team ensured that everything was organised to perfection in the lead up to, and on the day itself, and we are certain that this spectacular wedding will be remembered fondly for years to come by all who attended.
We truly thank Bethany and Romesh for allowing us the privilege to do what we love for them, and we just know they have a love that will last forever.
