Bougainvillea is the new black

Bougainvillea is the new black.

We are predicting a gorgeous trend towards this amazing flower for 2016 weddings.

We have long been fans of the incredibly vibrant colours, and long branches crowded with blooms that create interesting and unstructured shapes.  You can see a past styled shoot we created using bougainvillea here.

We have searched Pinterest (follow us here) for some amazing inspiration of how to incorporate Bougainvillea into your wedding or event design.

For the ceremony, wedding arbours and arches can be decorated with a little or alot, but it doesn’t stop there.  Use petals to fill paper cones as an alternative to roses or confetti, or to line your wedding aisle like a carpet of pretty colour.

Bouquets look great with blooms en masse and can be mixed with pretty much anything for a spectacular look.  For a beachy wedding, wrap them around your ankle as an alternative to shoes, or make garlands for yourself and your guests.

For the reception – go nuts!  Give your guests a taste of what is to come by decorating your seating chart or escort card table.  Once inside, Bougainvillea will add pretty colour to chair backs, and there are endless options for centrepieces.  Hanging installations always look amazing, whether a little or alot, and even your cake can get the treatment.

The options are endless, and with some creative styling your event will look spectacular.
