2016 Event Trends

More and more event organisers are looking for unique event experiences to wow those who have “seen it all”.  We believe that a good event, whether it’s a corporate gala dinner or swanky wedding celebration, should provide an escape for guests, a one night only ticket into a fantasy world that has been created especially for them.  This can be achieved through out-of-the-box offsite venues, experimental audio visual and opulent styling.

On the Gold Coast, offsite venues we recommend include:  Polly’s Country Kitchen, Villa Cervi, Capaja Meadows and Evergreen Gardens for intimate functions.  For these venues, we can conceptualise an event to suit your specific requirements, or choose from a pre-set package for those who might be time-poor.

Some styling trends….

There’s no doubt that Pantone’s colours of 2016 Rose Quartz and Serenity will also play a key role in current event trends, with the soft dusty pink already being a popular shade for wedding colours schemes.  From the Pantone site:

Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.

Industrial styling has been around for a little while and it is bar far our fave!  We do not have a lot of opportunity to create amazing events in run down spaces here on the shiney new Gold Coast, but we would love the opportunity to do so.  We love combining this theme with copper or metallic accents and geometric shapes, juxtaposed with elegant chandeliers and soft draping to add glamour.

Botanical styling is also going strong, with a move away from tight and structured floral arrangements to bushy greenery spilling from suspended structures or oozing off the table edge in long luscious garlands.  You can see more on this gorgeous theme here.

If you want to tantalize the tastebuds of your attendees, go nuts with a lavish dessert bar featuring delicious treats such as the Macaronut:  a heavenly fusion of macarons and doughnuts, or serve extravagant milk shakes from the bar.  You can see more on the Mashable website by clicking the links, or check out some of our past lolly buffet’s for weddings and corporate events here.
